On Behalf of NWTF and in partnership with TYHP, YMCA, and the Texas Quail Coalition we formally invite you and your family to this year’s JAKES DAY.

“ALL” Youth ages between 6-17, with accompanying adult

Enjoy exciting supervised outdoor experiences like:

Bass Fishing (Catch & Release) - Shotguns (Clay targets) - Air Guns (Target Shooting) - Archery (Target shooting) - .22 Rifles (Target Shooting) - Outdoor Artifacts - Turkey Calling - Hands on demonstrations AND MUCH MORE!!!

YMCA Roberts Ranch in Comfort Texas, 1,200 acres of pristine hill country beauty

Cost: $10 per youth; includes JAKES membership with magazine and access to all events.

Youth’s guardian(s) is included in this fee.

Meals and Drinks will be sold on site by a local nonprofit group for a nominal cost.

(100% of proceeds will support the local organization)

Preregistration is required. Directions will be sent with an info packet after you preregister.

We believe that the future of our conservation efforts begins with the proper education of our future biologists, wardens and others that will be involved in the outdoors and with our wildlife. To help with that, the Alamo Chapter NWTF has sponsored one or two scholarships each year. These may range from $250 to $500 locally, and qualify a student for up to $10,000 nationally.

Juniors Acquiring Knowledge Ethics Skills . The future of our sport rests with the youngsters. Get them started in the right direction by participating in JAKES Day. Many hands on turkey and outdoor related activities are made available, and are instructed by numerous skilled volunteers. .
